The Seattle Seahawks host the Chicago Bears on Monday night at Lumen Field, capping Week 8 of the NFL season in a battle between two winning NFC franchises.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. EST in Seattle. The visiting Bears entered the contest with a 5-2 record, riding a two-game winning streak that included a 30-24 victory against the New England Patriots two weekends ago, SB Nation reported. The hosting Seahawks arrived at 4-3 following a 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs prior to their recent break.
Reinforcements for Seattle’s offense
Seattle received significant lineup boosts ahead of kickoff, according to NBC Sports’ ProFootball Talk. Running back Zach Charbonnet is set to make his 2026 season debut after rehabilitating a torn ACL sustained during the divisional round of the playoffs in January. Charbonnet posted career highs in 2025, tallying 730 rushing yards along with 12 touchdowns to pace the Seahawks.
The Seahawks also activated running back Jadarian Price from injured reserve on Monday. Price had been sidelined since suffering a chest injury in Week 3, having accumulated 140 yards on 32 touches and two fumbles before the injury. On the offensive line, guard Quenton Nelson will make his franchise debut after arriving via a trade with the Indianapolis Colts earlier in the week. Nelson slots in at left guard, while Grey Zabel shifts over to right guard.
Seattle will remain without several contributors. Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu was ruled out because of an ankle injury, while backup quarterback Drew Lock was designated as the emergency third passer due to a right elbow issue. Rookie Jalen Milroe will serve as the primary backup to starting quarterback Sam Darnold. Other Seattle inactives include wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, offensive tackle Charles Cross, running back Velus Jones Jr., nose tackle Brandon Pili and offensive guard Beau Stephens.
Chicago’s lineup and game outlook
The Bears are also managing key absences on both sides of the ball. Chicago declared cornerback Malik Muhammad inactive due to a toe injury after he was limited during practices leading up to Monday, ProFootball Talk reported.
The Bears listed running back Kyle Monangai, quarterback Case Keenum, defensive tackle Jayden Loving, offensive lineman Jordan McFadden and defensive tackle Jordan van den Berg as their additional inactive players.
FanDuel Sportsbook listed the Seahawks as three-point favorites with an over/under total of 46.5 points, according to SB Nation, making Seattle a -180 moneyline favorite compared to +152 for Chicago.
The matchup is televised nationwide across ABC and ESPN, with digital streams available on ESPN+, NFL+ and ESPN Unlimited, according to Billboard. The network noted that Lumen Field games frequently draw prominent regional figures and celebrity supporters, with actors Joel McHale and Rainn Wilson as well as musician Dave Matthews having attended past Seattle home contests.
The outcome will help shape the midseason NFC playoff picture as both squads attempt to sustain momentum heading into the second half of the regular schedule.
