Middleweight contenders Brendan Allen and Christian Leroy Duncan officially cleared the scales Friday in Las Vegas, securing their five-round headlining bout for Saturday’s UFC Vegas 122 at the Meta Apex.

While the top of the lineup proceeded without issue, the official weigh-ins were overshadowed by three missed weights across the 12-fight lineup. Lightweight Ismael Bonfim registered the most extreme discrepancy of the morning, checking in 7.5 pounds over the division limit, according to weigh-in reports from Sherdog and Uncrowned.

Headliners cleared for middleweight clash

Allen, who enters the Octagon on a three-fight winning streak, stood on the scale at exactly the non-title middleweight limit of 186 pounds. The 30-year-old fighter holds a professional record of 27-7, having recently picked up decision victories over Edmen Shahbazyan and Marvin Vettori alongside a stoppage win over Reinier de Ridder, Sherdog reported.

Duncan stepped on the scale at 185 pounds to lock in his first main event appearance under the UFC banner. The 31-year-old English contender carries a 15-2 record and brings a five-fight winning streak into the cage, highlighted by a victory over former title challenger Jared Cannonier, according to Uncrowned.

Scale infractions hit three bouts

Despite the smooth weigh-in for the main event, three separate matchups required financial penalties after fighters failed to hit their target weights on Friday morning. Promotion officials confirmed that all three contests will proceed as scheduled.

Bonfim weighed 163.5 pounds for his preliminary lightweight pairing against Francisco Prado, who made weight at 155 pounds. The 7.5-pound miss marked the third time Bonfim has failed to make weight during his promotional tenure, Uncrowned reported. Bonfim was subsequently fined 25 percent of his purse.

Light heavyweight Brendson Ribeiro also struggled on the scale, checking in at 208.5 pounds for his matchup against Felipe Franco, who hit the divisional mark at 205 pounds. In the women’s strawweight division, Ketlen Souza registered 117 pounds, missing weight by one pound for her main-card contest against Lupita “Loopy” Godinez, who weighed 115.5 pounds. Both Ribeiro and Souza were penalized 20 percent of their respective fight purses, outlets reported.

Key matchups and broadcast schedule

Elsewhere on the card, the co-main lightweight meeting between Matheus Camilo and Jai Herbert was made official without incident. Camilo weighed 156 pounds, while Herbert registered 155 pounds.

Camilo brings an 11-3 record into the cage, having won two consecutive fights including a first-round stoppage against Nazim Sadykhov, ClutchPoints reported. Herbert, who owns a 14-6-1 record and a four-inch height and eight-inch reach advantage, most recently secured a first-round knockout against Mandel Nallo in April.

The card also features veteran welterweight Niko Price, who weighed 170.5 pounds for what SB Nation reported as his final professional bout, facing Leon Shahbazyan, who stepped on the scale at 171 pounds.

The 12-fight event is scheduled to stream live on Paramount+, with preliminary bouts beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. ET and the main card kicking off at 8 p.m. ET.
