The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs traveled to the Pacific Northwest on Sunday night to clash with the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field, setting the stage for a high-profile showdown featuring football stars and red-carpet interest.

Kickoff for the Week 7 matchup was scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Eastern time on NBC, with streaming carried across Peacock, NFL+, and various digital television packages, according to network listings. The contest pitted a 5-0 Kansas City squad against a 3-3 Seattle roster playing in front of its famously loud home crowd, formerly known as the 12th Man.

Familiar Faces and High Stakes

Much of the athletic attention focused on running back Kenneth Walker III, who signed with Kansas City in March after earning Super Bowl LX Most Valuable Player honors with Seattle. Walker stepped onto the turf at Lumen Field for the first time as a visitor against his former team, Rolling Stone reported.

Kansas City entered Sunday having defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 in their previous outing, remaining one of just three undefeated teams in the league alongside the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers, The El Paso Times reported. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes guided the offense into hostile territory, while head coach Andy Reid returned to the sidelines seeking to preserve their pristine record. Reid previously coached the offensive line at UTEP during the 1988 season.

The host Seahawks entered the contest attempting to steady their season after dropping a 17-14 decision to the Denver Broncos the week prior. Seattle linebacker Tyrice Knight, drafted in the fourth round in 2024, came off a game with five solo tackles and three assists against Denver, The El Paso Times reported. Despite the records, early betting forecasts leaned toward Seattle securing the home victory, according to Rolling Stone.

Star Power in the Stands

Beyond the action on the field, the matchup drew widespread pop culture curiosity, particularly surrounding whether pop superstar Taylor Swift would attend in support of her husband, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift has made appearances at three Kansas City contests this season, most recently on Oct. 18, though all three visits occurred at home in Arrowhead Stadium, Rolling Stone noted.

Lumen Field also frequently attracts prominent figures from music, film, and television, Billboard reported. Notable Seattle supporters who have regularly attended home games in the past include actors Joel McHale and Rainn Wilson, alongside musicians Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready.

How to Watch and What Follows

Viewers without traditional cable tuned in through broadcast television or digital services such as DirecTV, Fubo, Sling TV, and Hulu + Live TV, all of which offered access to the live NBC telecast. The matchup offered cord-cutters several short-term trial options across streaming hubs, Billboard and Rolling Stone reported.

As the final whistle approaches on Sunday night, Kansas City aims to depart Seattle with its undefeated slate intact, while the Seahawks fight to push their win tally above the .500 mark before entering the second half of their regular-season campaign.
