LOS ANGELES — Hollywood actors, models and pop-culture icons gathered Saturday night at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for the 15th annual LACMA Art+Film Gala, showcasing a range of bold red carpet designs.

The annual fundraiser, presented by luxury fashion house Gucci, was co-chaired for the 15th consecutive year by actor Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA trustee Eva Chow. The event raises money to support the museum’s film initiatives, educational programming, acquisitions and exhibitions, according to event organizers.

Honorees and musical guests

This year’s gala honored Latvian-American visual artist Vija Celmins alongside Oscar-nominated director Denis Villeneuve, W Magazine reported. Museum organizers highlighted Celmins for detailed art exploring the natural environment, while Villeneuve was recognized as a prominent contemporary director ahead of the planned December release of his third “Dune” installment.

BLACKPINK singer Rosé served as the night’s musical guest, performing for an audience filled with notable entertainment and fashion figures.

Sibling styles on the red carpet

Sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner arrived in coordinating dark brown gowns that featured backless designs, the Daily Mail reported. Kardashian wore a form-fitting sequined gown paired with closed-toe black heels, while Jenner opted for a dark brown suede dress accented with white patterned detailing.

Both sisters styled their dark hair parted down the middle in loose waves and wore dramatic smoky eye makeup with matte nude lips. Each chose restrained accessories to let the gowns take center stage, according to the outlet.

Kardashian’s appearance comes as she recently documented her medical treatment for esophagitis on her family’s reality series, which airs on Hulu, the Daily Mail noted.

Sculptural creations and shimmering gowns

Metallic designs and statement silhouettes dominated much of the red carpet outside the museum, Yahoo reported. Paris Hilton arrived in an embellished, figure-hugging silver dress featuring delicate straps and a plunging sweetheart neckline, accessorized with matching sheer gloves.

Anya Taylor-Joy stepped out in an architectural vintage Pierre Cardin gown constructed with large sculptural ruffles descending to the floor, paired with a sleek updo and diamond jewelry. Iris Law chose a daring sheer silver metallic mesh floor-length creation featuring a geometric pattern.

Salma Hayek wore a sparkling red halterneck dress accompanied by a matching clutch, while Nicole Kidman selected a ballerina-inspired ensemble combining a beige long-sleeved bodice with a tiered ivory tulle skirt. Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley appeared in a black gown featuring an exaggerated neckline, an open back and a high slit.

Other attendees who turned out for the celebration included Julia Garner, Sofía Vergara, Candice Swanepoel, Monica Lewinsky, Brittany Snow, Alix Earle and Irina Shayk, outlets reported.

The annual gathering historically signals the beginning of winter awards campaigning for film contenders, giving attendees a platform to display high-fashion looks ahead of the major industry ceremonies scheduled in the coming months.
