Preorders for the upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Mega Evolution Delta Reign, surfaced on Amazon on Thursday, giving hobbyists and collectors an early opportunity to reserve products ahead of the official release next month.
The expansion is scheduled to arrive on Nov. 6, featuring more than 135 cards in the set. Listings on Amazon currently include both Booster Bundles and Elite Trainer Boxes supplied through third-party merchants, according to reports by Mashable and Yahoo.
Booster bundles listed below secondary market rates
Preorders for the Delta Reign Booster Bundle were posted at $74.99 on Amazon through third-party vendor Kings Games, Mashable reported. The listing price sits $3.53 below the estimated market value of $78.52 tracked by secondary marketplace TCGplayer, where competing individual listings were observed at $77.22.
Each booster bundle contains six individual packs from the expansion, which works out to roughly $12.50 per pack, Mashable noted. Each pack holds 10 game cards, a Basic Energy card, and a digital redemption code for Pokémon TCG Live, totaling 60 cards per bundle. Mashable reported that Amazon estimates delivery for the bundles on Nov. 10, four days following the launch, with purchases remaining eligible for the retailer’s 30-day refund and replacement window.
Elite Trainer Box details and contents
For collectors seeking larger packages, the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box became available for preorder on Amazon at $140 through seller MVP Marketplace, according to Yahoo. That pricing stands $8.72 above TCGplayer’s estimated market price of $131.28.
Yahoo reported that estimated delivery windows for the Elite Trainer Box span from Nov. 9 through Nov. 12, extending to Nov. 16 for orders utilizing free shipping options. Like the bundles, these third-party orders fall under Amazon’s standard 30-day return policies.
The Elite Trainer Box includes nine Delta Reign booster packs, equating to about $15.56 per pack when excluding included accessories, Yahoo noted. The package also features a full-art foil Kyogre promotional card, 65 themed card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, seven dice, six deck dividers, a plastic coin, a player’s guide, a collector’s storage box, and a digital game code.
Featured cards and next steps
The Delta Reign expansion highlights several high-profile additions to the Mega Evolution lineup. Notable cards featured across the set include Special Illustration Rares and Mega Hyper Rares spotlighting Mega Rayquaza, Raikou ex, and Mega Golurk ex, according to reports from Mashable and Yahoo. While North American consumers await the English release, single Japanese versions of the cards have already circulated on TCGplayer.
Whether initial retail allocations will remain available at these price levels leading up to the Nov. 6 release date remains uncertain as inventory fluctuates across online storefronts.
