GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night at Lambeau Field, closing out Week 6 of the NFL season with a matchup between two longtime NFC rivals.

Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. Eastern time on NBC, with streaming carried across several digital platforms including Peacock and Fubo, according to network listings. The Packers enter the contest with a 3-2 record, while the Cowboys enter prime time at 2-3 after an inconsistent start to their schedule.

Packers looking to build momentum

Green Bay enters Sunday having captured back-to-back victories, highlighted by a 31-7 win over the Chicago Bears, The Big Lead reported. In that divisional matchup, quarterback Jordan Love recorded one of his sharpest statistical performances of the season, completing 25 of 31 pass attempts for 367 yards and two scores, according to the outlet.

Wide receiver Christian Watson served as Love’s primary downfield target against Chicago, finishing with six receptions for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver Matthew Golden has also emerged as an important option in the Green Bay aerial attack, Yahoo Sports reported.

The recent two-game surge helped the Packers stabilize their season after a slow start. Even with that momentum, Green Bay remains two games behind the undefeated Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North standings, Yahoo Sports reported.

Cowboys search for defensive answers

Dallas enters Lambeau Field attempting to bounce back from a 24-16 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. The Cowboys offense, led by quarterback Dak Prescott, continues to post solid yardage totals despite the team’s losing record. Prescott has thrown for 1,381 yards and nine touchdowns through five games, according to The Big Lead.

Prescott relies heavily on a wide receiver group headlined by CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. However, costly turnovers hindered Dallas during the loss to Tampa Bay, The Big Lead reported.

On defense, significant challenges remain. Dallas has yielded an average of 395.4 yards per game this year, according to The Big Lead. The defensive front remains without star pass rusher Micah Parsons, Yahoo Sports reported. Parsons, who is recovering from a torn ACL sustained last season, had targeted a Week 6 return against his former squad but has yet to be activated to the roster or resume team practice, Yahoo Sports reported.

NFC landscape and what comes next

Despite their losing record, the Cowboys remain in the mix due to struggles throughout the NFC East, Yahoo Sports reported. Earlier Sunday, the New Orleans Saints defeated the New York Giants 34-27, and the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Carolina Panthers. Philadelphia played without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, who was placed on injured reserve due to a blood clot in his leg, Yahoo Sports reported.

Sunday’s prime-time result will determine whether Green Bay maintains pace in the upper tier of the NFC or if Dallas can steady its season before losing more ground in the conference standings.
