Taylor Swift attended the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala on Saturday evening in Los Angeles, stepping onto the red carpet in a sweeping, pale blue Christian Dior gown before delivering the night’s closing musical set.

The 36-year-old pop star paired the dress, which featured a subtle sweetheart neckline, structured hips and a front beaded bow, with diamond chandelier earrings by Chopard, according to reports from Page Six and The Mirror US. She wore her hair styled in soft curls pulled back into a half-up arrangement, marking her first major red carpet appearance since the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 27.

Honoring Cinema Legends

The museum celebration, hosted at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, raises funds to back the venue’s public screenings, cultural exhibits and educational programming. The event’s leadership featured co-chairs Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and director Robert Rodriguez, alongside designer Tom Ford, Page Six reported.

During the program, the museum honored three prominent film industry figures. Oscar winner Charlize Theron accepted the Icon Award for her global impact, while two-time Oscar nominee Colman Domingo received the Vantage Award, which highlights storytellers who challenge standard cinema narratives. Director and composer John Carpenter took home the Luminary Award for expanding creative boundaries in filmmaking.

Museum Director and President Amy Homma praised the evening’s talent, calling Swift “an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world” in a statement released prior to the gala. Homma added that museum organizers were eager to see Swift “close a wonderful evening of honoring three extraordinary filmmakers and supporting the Academy Museum’s mission to celebrate and preserve cinema.”

Star-Studded Guest List

Swift was joined at the gala by dozens of Hollywood luminaries, including Kim Kardashian, Pamela Anderson, Jacob Elordi, Sabrina Carpenter, and Demi Moore, according to Variety. Among the notable arrivals was actress Joan Cusack, who made a rare public appearance alongside her husband, retired corporate executive Richard Burke, the Daily Mail reported.

Cusack, who wore a sequined black-tie dress, recently voiced the character Jessie in the animated feature “Toy Story 5.” Swift contributed the track “I Knew It, I Knew You” to the film’s soundtrack, making the singer eligible for consideration in the best original song category at the forthcoming Academy Awards, according to the Daily Mail.

Solo Appearance Ahead of Chiefs Game

Swift walked the carpet without her husband, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelce remained focused on football obligations, as the Chiefs were scheduled to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

The couple married in July during a large ceremony held at Madison Square Garden, after which Swift issued four additional tracks, including the single “Patient Zero,” for an expanded release of her 2025 album “The Life of a Showgirl,” the Daily Mail reported.

While gala attendees celebrated late into Saturday night, Swift was expected to travel east to Missouri to support Kelce during Sunday’s NFL matchup, though her immediate travel schedule remained unconfirmed.
